Tatebanko Manga Style

I've always been very inspired by the Japanese paper art form tatabanko.  When I bought some beautiful vintage comic prints recently I was extremely excited to get cutting and layering them.  This one only went on display yesterday and sold today, it took me 8 hours to carve and my finger tip is still numb 3 weeks later!  I think i need to invest in a good rubber thimble.

These photo's really don't convey the depth and detail of the actual piece but I didn't get time to do a proper photo shoot before a lovely gentleman bought it.
